¥ The load limits have been calculated with 1/3 safety factor being
included in the static withstand load . There may be circumstances
where a 1/5 safety factor needs to be considered.
¥ Do not use "Tension Gripper" as a structural member.
¥ Look in the "Tension Gripper" catalog for details.
2. Please follow instructions below regarding usage of the
cable
¥ If cable is to be used repeatedly, it may be damaged over time.
Check before use to ensure the cable is not damaged.
¥ Ensure that cable will not come in contact with materials other
than Grippers. such as shelves, walls or poles. This may damage
the cable.
¥ Use stainless steel cable [7x7 SUS304/316]. Standard steel cable
may rust, which will weaken the cable.
¥ When cutting the cables, please make sure to solder the cable
ends.
¥ Ensure the cable is inserted completely into the Grippers - [Drawing
#1]
¥ Do not intentionally apply pressure when the cables are tensioned.
This will stretch the cable, causing slack [Tension Gripper for
Balustrading use]
3. Please follow instructions with the usage of the grippers
¥ Refer to "Example of Display Application" in our catalog. If you
have further questions, please contact us or your local dealer.
¥ When fastening the grippers to floor or ceiling, make sure to
fasten tightly and be sure to select appropriate types of anchors.
¥ Ensure the gripper is properly installed - [Drawing #2]
¥ Make sure that the direction of the cable and the grippers will
be in a straight line. Otherwise, please use "Universal Type" [SF-32,SF-32
+T, SF33, SF33+T, SF34, SF26, TF32, TF33, AT-2, CB-1, MF32, MF32+T]

¥ When using the grippers that are designed to attach to cables
already mounted floor to ceiling [FMB-1, FMG-1, etc.], ensure the
mechanism is firmly attached to the cable before each use -[Drawing
#4]
¥ FILATII $B&2(JM series are all "S" type. Some are of the type with
fixing screws.
¥ When using "S" type grippers, make sure to tighten the safety
cap [S] after final adjustment.
¥ Dust and debris may clog the mechanism of the gripper. If this
occurs, replace it with a new one.
¥ ArtSafer uses a self-contained battery which must be checked regularly
and often. The battery will naturally drain itself, and must be
replaced every two years.
